Throughout history, the local bands have been called upon in times of tragedy to help rally the community and boost morale. Our community has certainly taken a hit, but our spirit will not be broken. Many of you have been working hard to repair the damage to your homes while others have been assisting in those efforts. We love and support every single one of you. Our district has asked us to rally the band members together to help boost the morale of the community. There will be a football game Friday, September the 8, 2017 against Pasaden Memorial (we do not know where yet). We have been asked to assemble whatever band members are able to come, want to come, etc.. and show our support and to help create some normalcy in our community again. In order to do this, we will need to rehearse from 7:30am-10:30am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (September 5, 6, 7). We sent out a survey, but we discovered an error on the apparel section. Please click the Celestial Voyage shirt IF you have ALL of your items intact. Please fill out this survey so that we can best meet the needs of the Dickinson Gator Band Community. If you need assistance with transportation and are available to attend, please let us know and/or reach out to other band members that you know. By no means should anyone feel any pressure to attend if they are unable to do so. This is strictly for those that can be here and those that are able to be here. We understand and support you if you are unable to make this a momentary priority.

I will know more details about the game as we get closer, but I am thinking it will be on the road in Pasaden at 7 pm. We will probably meet at 2:30pm, rehearse from 3-4 or so…provide pizza for the students and then load up and head out. We will probably try and wear our uniforms as well, but will know more after folks complete the survey that Mr. Pruitt sent out.

Thank you and please respond with questions. I love you all so much and want everyone to do what they need to do.
